Student Message

Although the road to becoming a graduate is paved with assignments, projects and exams, and is not an easy road to walk, the rewards can be great. Through completing this programme, I have acquired up-to-date knowledge, time management skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities. I have gained a lot from this programme.

Clara Mak

In this programme, students can focus on the specialty they are interested in, and choose to complete a clinical practicum or a dissertation. The nursing teachers are experienced, knowledgeable and helpful, and are willing to support the students. Students can share and discuss their ideas and work with their classmates and tutors during seminars.

In June 2013, I was awarded the School’s Ida Martinson Scholarship to visit Canada for an observational trip. This visit cultivated my global perspective, broadened my view on nursing role and development, deepened my understanding of the healthcare system in Canada and provided me with an opportunity to reflect on my career and professional development.

Studying at PolyU is not only about academic advancement, it also opens the mind and broadens the horizon. If you are considering studying a Master's degree in nursing, you should put PolyU’s School of Nursing at the top of your list.

Studying part-time for a Master's degree is demanding. I have met all of the challenges, and I am honoured and proud to be a PolyU graduate.

The practicum provided me with the opportunity to practise in various nursing domains and acquire competencies required for the APN role. Since completing the practicum, I am more knowledgeable, skilful and confident in serving patients in my specialty and in sharing new information that is beneficial to patients with my colleagues. This programme has prepared me for my promotion in the future.

I am a graduate from the MSc in Nursing programme in 2016/17. I had a wonderful learning experience during my time at PolyU. It had been a great honor to be selected as an exchange student in the United Kingdom for clinical exposure. Being a full-time nurse, the flexibility of this programme allowed me to plan my studies according to my interests and availability. You deserve a rewarding learning experience like me, please come and join us!
