Student Message

The four-year Radiography programme offered by PolyU trains professionals-to-be in diagnostic radiography and radiation therapy. It is accredited locally and in many overseas countries, such as in the UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, etc. The programme comprises education at the university and clinical training in public hospitals in Hong Kong.

After obtaining an Associate Degree in Health Studies offered by PolyU’s Hong Kong Community College, I am very glad to be one of the students in this programme. It is exciting and well structured, and I believe that it will help me to become a competent and caring radiographer. I look forward to serving patients in a few years’ time!

Mong Hiu Tung

I am proud to be radiography student, working towards achieving my dream. The BSc(Hons) in Radiography features an all-rounded, step-by step curriculum that enables students to move from the basics to advanced knowledge of and skills in the profession.  For example, Years One and Two include subjects on aspects of basic science such as anatomy, physiology, radiological physics and pathology. Then we step forward to Years Three and Four to study more advanced and specialised subjects related to the medical imaging and radiation therapy professions, such as Medical Imaging Studies and Radiotherapy Studies. This learning pattern enables us to build solid foundations to become competent professionals. Moreover, the clinical placement component enables us to integrate our knowledge into real clinical situations.

Radiography is a frontline health care profession, and an essential component of the health care system. Not only can we operate some of the most technologically advanced medical equipment to help patients, but we can also work hand in hand with other professionals within the system. This is indeed a very meaningful job.

Thanks to PolyU, my dream of serving patients will finally come true. I hope you will join us soon.
