Interview Arrangement ( HKDSE Applicants )

The following summary only includes schemes/programmes which plan to conduct interviews and/or aptitude tests/assessments for the 2022/23 admissions exercise. As further changes on these arrangements may be made, applicants should check this webpage regularly to obtain the most up-to-date interview arrangements of our schemes/programmes.

Schemes/programmes which will conduct interviews/aptitude tests/assessments before the announcement of the HKDSE results will notify shortlisted applicants of the details individually by email, SMS, phone (our phone number usually starts with 2766 or 3400) or other electronic means. Schemes/programmes which will conduct interviews or tests after the announcement of HKDSE results will release their interview/test shortlist on 27 July 2022 at our e-Admission. Applicants are advised to check the details and attend the interviews/tests as scheduled since re-arrangement may not be possible. If they fail to do so, their applications may not be further considered.

Data Science - BSc (Hons) Scheme

Mode:	Group interview
Aims:	To evaluate applicants' potential and interest in the Scheme and to test their communication skills and general knowledge of data science/investment science.
Medium:	English
Duration:	About 30-45 minutes
Remarks:	Suitable candidates may be invited for interview.

Design - BA (Hons) Scheme

Date:	Admission interviews are scheduled after the announcement of HKDSE results.
Mode:	Portfolio submission (MUST) and interview with portfolio presentation
Aims:	1. To understand the potential of applicants for the BA(Hons) in Design at the degree level 2. To ascertain whether applicants’ expectations of the programme/career path match what we aim to provide 3. To evaluate the language, communication and interpersonal skills of the applicants.

Duration:	Portfolio submission (MUST); interview with portfolio presentation (about 15-20 minutes)
Remarks:	Only Band A and B applicants will be considered for admission. Applicants are required to submit a portfolio in June. Upon the release of HKDSE results, applicants will be shortlisted for interview. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an individual interview with their physical/digital portfolio, along with prototypes or models (if applicable). Preference will be given to Band A applicants. To recognise applicants with outstanding performance in HKDSE, the programme will directly offer a place to those scoring in the top 25%, waiving the interview requirement.
