Aims & Characteristics

Aims and Characteristics

Programme Aims & Learning Outcomes

We prepare students to become technologists in the field of civil engineering. The programme also provides a sound educational background for those students who wish to pursue higher-level study in the same field.

Programme Characteristics

We teach students to apply civil engineering knowledge to solve construction problems and to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken, written and graphical presentations. This programme provides fundamental training in civil engineering, which means that students may pursue further study by joining the BEng(Hons) in Civil Engineering programme with credit transfer if they graduate with excellent academic results.
